رَشِيدُ تِلْمِيذٌ مُهَذَّبٌ، يَسْتَيْقِظُ قَبْلَ شُرُوقِ الشَّمْسِ فَيَتَوَضَّأُ وَيُصَلِّي.
Rachid is a polite student. He wakes up before sunrise, performs ablution, and prays.
Rachid est un élève poli. Il se réveille avant le lever du soleil, fait ses ablutions et prie.
بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَتَنَاوَلُ الْفُطُورَ وَيُنَظِّفُ أَسْنَانَهُ ثُمَّ يَسْتَعِدُّ لِلذَّهَابِ إِلَى الْمَدْرَسَةِ نَشِيطًا فَرِحًا لَا يَلْعَبُ فِي الطَّرِيقِ وَلَا يَتَأَخَّرُ عَنِ الْمِيعَادِ.
After that, he eats breakfast and cleans his teeth, then gets ready to go to school energetically and happily. He does not play on the way and is not late for the appointment.
Après cela, il prend son petit-déjeuner et se nettoie les dents, puis il se prépare à aller à l’école, actif et joyeux. Il ne joue pas en chemin et n’est pas en retard au rendez-vous.
دَخَلَ رَشِيدٌ فِي الْفَصْلِ مَعَ أَصْدِقَائِهِ وَجَلَسَ. أَخَذَ الْمُعَلِّمُ يَشْرَحُ دَرْسًا جَدِيدًا فَانْتَبَهَ رَشِيدٌ وَفَهِمَ هَذَا الدَّرْسَ.
Rachid entered the classroom with his friends and sat down. The teacher began explaining a new lesson, so Rachid paid attention and understood the lesson.
Rachid est entré dans la classe avec ses amis et s’est assis. Le professeur a commencé à expliquer une nouvelle leçon, alors Rachid a fait attention et a compris cette leçon.
بَعْدَمَا أَتَمَّ الْأُسْتَاذُ شَرْحَهُ ذَكَرَ التَّلَامِيذُ بِوَاجِبَاتِهِمْ ثُمَّ أَذِنَ لَهُمْ بِالْخُرُوجِ فَخَرَجُوا بِنِظَامٍ وَهُدُوءٍ.
After the teacher finished his explanation, he reminded the students of their homework, then allowed them to leave. They left in an orderly and calm manner.
Après que le professeur eut terminé son explication, il rappela aux élèves leurs devoirs, puis leur permit de sortir. Ils sortirent avec ordre et calme.
رَجَعَ رَشِيدٌ مِنَ الْمَدْرَسَةِ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أُمِّهِ وَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ فَأَكَلَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لَهُ مِنَ الْأَكْلِ.
Rachid returned from school, greeted his mother, washed his hands, and ate the food she had prepared for him.
Rachid est revenu de l’école, a salué sa mère, s’est lavé les mains, puis a mangé ce qu’elle lui avait préparé.
بَدَأَ رَشِيدٌ يُرَاجِعُ دُرُوسَ الْيَوْمِ وَيَحْفَظُهَا وَعِنْدَمَا أَتَمَّ وَاجِبَاتِهِ سَمِعَ أَذَانَ الْمَغْرِبِ فَذَهَبَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ.
Rachid began reviewing and memorizing the day’s lessons. When he finished his homework, he heard the Maghrib call to prayer and went to the mosque.
Rachid a commencé à réviser et mémoriser les leçons du jour. Quand il a fini ses devoirs, il a entendu l’appel à la prière du Maghreb et est allé à la mosquée.
وَفِي الْمَسَاءِ جَلَسَ جَمِيعُ أَفْرَادِ الْأُسْرَةِ حَوْلَ طَعَامِ الْعَشَاءِ.
In the evening, all the family members sat around the dinner table.
Le soir, tous les membres de la famille se sont assis autour du repas du dîner.
فَاطِمَةُ أُخْتُ رَشِيدٍ، تَسْتَيْقِظُ بَاكِرًا فَتَتَوَضَّأُ وَتُصَلِّي الْفَجْرَ. إِنَّهَا تِلْمِيذَةٌ مُجْتَهِدَةٌ نَشِيطَةٌ تَحْفَظُ دُرُوسَهَا وَتَقُومُ بِوَاجِبَاتِهَا.
Fatima is Rachid's sister. She wakes up early, performs ablution, and prays Fajr. She is a diligent and active student who memorizes her lessons and completes her homework.
Fatima est la sœur de Rachid. Elle se lève tôt, fait ses ablutions et prie l’aube. C’est une élève appliquée et dynamique qui mémorise ses leçons et fait ses devoirs.
تُسَاعِدُ فَاطِمَةُ أُمَّهَا فِي الْبَيْتِ فَتَنْظُفُ وَتَغْسِلُ وَتُطْبُخُ مَعَهَا. هَكَذَا تَعَلَّمَتْ فَاطِمَةُ مَا يَفِيدُهَا فِي الْمُسْتَقْبَلِ.
Fatima helps her mother at home by cleaning, washing, and cooking with her. This is how Fatima learned useful things for her future.
Fatima aide sa mère à la maison en nettoyant, lavant et cuisinant avec elle. C’est ainsi que Fatima a appris ce qui lui sera utile dans le futur.
السَّنَةُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا وَأَرْبَعَةُ فُصُولٍ فَهِيَ: الرَّبِيعُ وَالصَّيْفُ وَالْخَرِيفُ وَالشِّتَاءُ.
The year has twelve months and four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
L’année compte douze mois et quatre saisons : le printemps, l’été, l’automne et l’hiver.
الْيَوْمُ أَرْبَعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ سَاعَةً وَالسَّاعَةُ سِتُّونَ دَقِيقَةً.
The day has twenty-four hours, and each hour has sixty minutes.
Le jour compte vingt-quatre heures, et chaque heure soixante minutes.
الأُسْبُوعُ سِتَّةُ أَيَّامٍ وَهِيَ: يَوْمُ الأَحَدِ وَالاثْنَيْنِ وَالثُّلاَثَاءُ وَالأَرْبِعَاءُ وَالْخَمِيسُ وَالْجُمْعَةُ وَالسَّبْتُ.
The week has seven days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
La semaine compte sept jours : dimanche, lundi, mardi, mercredi, jeudi, vendredi et samedi.
أَمَّا الشُّهُورُ الْقَمَرِيَّةُ فَسَتَتَعَرَّفُونَهَا فِي دَرْسٍ آخَرَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ.
As for the lunar months, you will learn about them in another lesson, God willing.
Quant aux mois lunaires, vous les découvrirez dans une autre leçon, si Dieu le veut.
يُحبُّ الأطفالُ اللَّعبَ كثيرًا. الصبيانُ يحبّونَ اللَّعبَ بالكُرةِ والسياراتِ الصَّغيرةِ والمسابقةِ في الجَري. وتحبُّ البناتُ اللَّعبَ بالعَرائِسِ والثَّوبِ فوقَ الحَبْلِ.
Children love to play a lot. Boys like to play with balls, toy cars, and race running. Girls like to play with dolls and cloths on a rope.
Les enfants aiment beaucoup jouer. Les garçons aiment jouer avec des ballons, des petites voitures, et faire des courses à pied. Les filles aiment jouer avec des poupées et des habits sur une corde.
اللعبُ مفيدٌ لأنَّه يروحُ عن الذِّهنِ لكن يشترطُ فيه أن لا ينسى الإنسان ما وجب عليه من أعمالٍ أخرى.
Playing is useful because it refreshes the mind, but it requires that a person does not forget the other duties they have.
Le jeu est bénéfique car il détend l’esprit, mais il est nécessaire que l’homme ne néglige pas ses autres obligations.
جَاءَتْ عُطْلَةُ الصَّيْفِ وَهِيَ وَقْتُ الرَّاحَةِ لِلتَّلَامِيذِ وَالْمُعَلِّمِينَ وَكَثِيرٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ. يُسَافِرُ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى وَطَنِهِمْ، فَيَرْكَبُونَ الطَّائِرَةَ أَوِ الْبَاخِرَةَ، وَيَذْهَبُ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى شَاطِئِ الْبَحْرِ أَوِ الْمَنَاطِقِ الْجَبَلِيَّةِ.
The summer vacation has arrived; it is a time of rest for students, teachers, and many people. Some travel to their homeland by plane or ship, while others go to the beach or mountainous regions.
Les vacances d'été sont arrivées ; c’est un temps de repos pour les élèves, les enseignants et beaucoup de gens. Certains voyagent vers leur pays natal en avion ou en bateau, tandis que d’autres vont à la plage ou dans les régions montagneuses.
الْعُطْلَةُ مُفِيدَةٌ لِتَجْدِيدِ النَّشَاطِ وَلِلرَّاحَةِ وَلَكِنِ الْمُسْلِمُ لَا يَنْسَى رَبَّهُ وَيَتَّقِي اللَّـهَ حَيْثُ كَانَ.
The vacation is useful for renewing energy and rest, but the Muslim does not forget his Lord and fears Allah wherever he is.
Les vacances sont utiles pour renouveler l'énergie et le repos, mais le musulman ne doit pas oublier son Seigneur et doit craindre Allah où qu’il soit.
يَجِبُ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ أَنْ يَكُونَ نَظِيفًا، فَالْإِسْلَامُ يَعْلِمُ النَّظَافَةَ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَيَأْمُرُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بِالْوُضُوءِ وَالاغْتِسَالِ وَغَسْلِ الثِّيَابِ وَتَنْظِيفِ الْأَسْنَانِ وَتَرْجِلِ الشَّعْرِ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ جَمِيلٌ يُحِبُّ الْجَمَالَ.
A Muslim must be clean. Islam teaches cleanliness in everything and commands Muslims to perform ablution, take baths, wash clothes, clean their teeth, and trim their hair. Indeed, Allah is beautiful and loves beauty.
Le musulman doit être propre. L’islam enseigne la propreté dans tout et ordonne aux musulmans d’effectuer les ablutions, de prendre des bains, de laver les vêtements, de nettoyer leurs dents et de tailler leurs cheveux. En vérité, Allah est beau et aime la beauté.
وَكَمَا تَجِبُ نَظَافَةُ الظَّاهِرِ يَلْزَمُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ أَنْ يَعْنَى بِتَصْفِيَةِ قَلْبِهِ مِنْ أَقْذَارِ الْكِبْرِ وَالْحَسَدِ وَحُبِّ الدُّنْيَا.
Just as physical cleanliness is required, a believer must also care for purifying his heart from the impurities of arrogance, envy, and worldly love.
Tout comme la propreté extérieure est obligatoire, le croyant doit aussi purifier son cœur des impuretés de l’orgueil, de l’envie et de l’attachement au monde.
يَسْتَيْقِظُ الْفَلَّاحُ مُبَكِّرًا، وَيَذْهَبُ إِلَى حَقْلِهِ فَيُحَرِّثُ الْأَرْضَ، وَيَزْرَعُ الْحُبُوبَ، وَيَسْقِيها بِالْمَاءِ.
The farmer wakes up early, goes to his field, plows the land, plants the grains, and waters them.
Le fermier se réveille tôt, va à son champ, laboure la terre, plante les grains et les arrose.
الْفَلَّاحُ يَعِيشُ فِي الْقَرْيَةِ وَيَرْبِي الْغَنَمَ وَالْبَقَرَ الَّتِي نَأْكُلُ لَحْمَهَا وَنَشْرَبُ لَبَنَهَا وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَزْرَعُ الْخُضَرَ الَّتِي نَتَغَذَّى بِهَا.
يَظْهَرُ الْقَمَرُ فِي أَوَّلِ الشَّهْرِ الإِسْلَامِيِّ صَغِيرًا وَيُسَمَّى هِلَالًا ثُمَّ يَزِيدُ شَيْئًا فَشَيْئًا وَيَكْمُلُ فِي مُنتَصَفِ الشَّهْرِ وَيُسَمَّى بَدْرًا.
The moon appears at the beginning of the Islamic month small and is called a crescent, then it gradually grows until it becomes full in the middle of the month, called the full moon.
La lune apparaît au début du mois islamique petite et est appelée croissant, puis elle grandit progressivement jusqu’à devenir pleine au milieu du mois, appelée la pleine lune.
وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَنْقُصُ قَلِيلًا قَلِيلًا وَلَا نَرَاهُ فِي آخِرِ الشَّهْرِ.
After that, it decreases little by little and is not visible at the end of the month.
Après cela, elle décroît petit à petit et n’est pas visible à la fin du mois.
الْقَمَرُ يُنِيرُ لَيْلًا وَلَكِنْ نُورُهُ أَقَلُّ مِنْ ضَوْءِ الشَّمْسِ. الْقَمَرُ وَالشَّمْسُ آيَاتٌ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ.
The moon lights up the night, but its light is less than the sunlight. The moon and the sun are signs from God.
La lune illumine la nuit, mais sa lumière est moins forte que celle du soleil. La lune et le soleil sont des signes de Dieu.
ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ جَلَسَ رَشِيدٌ عَلَى صَخْرَةٍ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْبَحْرِ، فَجَاءَتْ أُخْتُهُ الصَّغِيرَةُ فَاطِمَةُ.
One day, Rachid was sitting on a rock looking at the sea when his little sister Fatima came.
Un jour, Rachid était assis sur un rocher à regarder la mer quand sa petite sœur Fatima arriva.
فَاطِمَةُ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ، هَلْ تَتَفَكَّرُ فِي الْبَحْرِ؟
Fatima: Peace be upon you, are you thinking about the sea?
Fatima : Que la paix soit sur toi, penses-tu à la mer ?
رَشِيدٌ: وَعَلَيْكِ السَّلَامُ، نَعَمْ يَا أُخْتِي، وَسَأُخْبِرُكِ عَنْ بَعْضِ فَوَائِدِهِ.
Rachid: And peace be upon you, yes my sister, and I will tell you about some of its benefits.
Rachid : Et que la paix soit sur toi, oui ma sœur, je vais te parler de certains de ses bienfaits.
الْمَاءُ الَّذِي نَشْرَبُهُ وَيَعِيشُ بِهِ كُلُّ حَيٍّ جَاءَ مِنَ الْبَحْرِ، إِذْ كَانَ بُخَارًا، ثُمَّ سَحَابَةً، ثُمَّ مَطَرًا، فَمَنَابِعَ وَأَنْهَارًا.
The water we drink and all living things live by comes from the sea; it evaporated, then became clouds, then rain, then springs and rivers.
L’eau que nous buvons et qui fait vivre tout être vivant vient de la mer ; elle s’est évaporée, est devenue nuages, puis pluie, puis sources et rivières.
لِكُلِّ عَمَلٍ وَقْتٌ مُحَدَّدٌ فَنَجْعَلُ لِلْقِرَاءَةِ سَاعَاتٍ مَعَيَّنَةٍ، وَللنَّوْمِ وَالصَّلَاةِ وَالطَّعَامِ وَالرَّاحَةِ سَاعَاتٍ أُخْرَى.
Every task has a specific time, so we allocate specific hours for reading, sleeping, praying, eating, and resting.
Chaque activité a un temps précis, donc nous réservons des heures spécifiques pour la lecture, le sommeil, la prière, la nourriture et le repos.
مِثْلُ السَّاعَةِ تِكْ تَكْ تِكْ تَكْ
Like the ticking of a clock, tick tack tick tack.

قَضَتِ الجَرَادَةُ فَصْلَ الصَّيْفِ وَهِيَ تُغَنِّي وَلَمْ تُفَكِّرْ فِي المُسْتَقْبَلِ. حِينَ جَاءَ الشِّتَاءُ لَمْ تَجِدْ مَا تَأْكُلُ فَذَهَبَتْ عِندَ جَارَتِهَا النَّمْلَةِ وَطَلَبَتْ مِنْهَا المُسَاعَدَةَ.
The locust spent the summer singing and did not think about the future. When winter came, it found nothing to eat, so it went to its neighbor the ant and asked for help.
La cigale a passé l’été à chanter sans penser à l’avenir. Quand l’hiver est arrivé, elle n’a rien trouvé à manger, alors elle est allée voir sa voisine la fourmi et lui a demandé de l’aide.
قَالَتِ النَّمْلَةُ: أَيْنَ كُنْتِ فِي أَيَّامِ الصَّيْفِ؟ قَالَتِ الجَرَادَةُ: لَقَدْ كُنْتُ أُغَنِّي.
The ant said: Where were you during the summer days? The locust said: I was singing.
La fourmi a dit : Où étais-tu pendant les jours d’été ? La cigale a répondu : Je chantais.
ضَحِكَتِ النَّمْلَةُ وَقَالَتْ لَهَا مُسْتَهْزِئَةً بِهَا: إِذَا كُنْتِ قَدْ غَنَّيْتِ طُولَ الصَّيْفِ، فَمَا عَلَيْكِ إِلَّا أَنْ تَرْقُصِيَ طُولَ الشِّتَاءِ.
The ant laughed and mockingly said to her: If you sang all summer, then you must dance all winter.
La fourmi a ri et lui a dit en la moquant : Si tu as chanté tout l’été, alors tu dois danser tout l’hiver.
إِنَّ أُمِّي هِيَ الَّتِي وَلَدَتْنِي وَأَرْضَعَتْنِي وَعَلَّمَتْنِي الْمَشْيَ وَالْكَلَامَ، وَأَحَاطَتْنِي بِالْحَنَانِ. أَمَّا أَبِي فَكَانَ يَخْرُجُ فِي الصَّبَاحِ الْبَاكِرِ إِلَى عَمَلِهِ لِيُطْعِمَنِي وَيَكْسُونِي وَيُهَيِّئَ لِي وَلِلْأُسْرَةِ مَعِيشَةً سَعِيدَةً.
My mother is the one who gave birth to me, breastfed me, taught me to walk and talk, and surrounded me with affection. As for my father, he used to go out early in the morning to work to feed me, clothe me, and provide a happy life for me and the family.
Ma mère est celle qui m’a donné naissance, qui m’a allaité, appris à marcher et à parler, et m’a entouré de tendresse. Quant à mon père, il sortait tôt le matin pour travailler afin de me nourrir, m’habiller et assurer une vie heureuse à la famille.
أُحِبُّ أُمِّي وَأَبِي وَأُطِيعُهُمَا وَأُسَاعِدُهُمَا، وَسَأَخْدِمُهُمَا عِندَ كِبَرِهِمَا كَمَا فَعَلَا مَعِي.
I love my mother and father, obey and help them, and I will serve them when they grow old, just as they did for me.
J’aime ma mère et mon père, je leur obéis, les aide et je les servirai quand ils seront âgés, comme ils l’ont fait pour moi.
رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
عِنْدَمَا تَنْتَهِي الإمْتِحَانَاتُ فِي آخِرِ السَّنَةِ يَحْتَفِلُ التَّلَامِيذُ وَالْمُعَلِّمُونَ بِهَذِهِ الْمُنَاسَبَةِ وَتُقَدَّمُ الْجَوَائِزُ لِلنَّاجِحِينَ.
When exams end at the end of the year, students and teachers celebrate this occasion and awards are given to the successful.
Quand les examens se terminent à la fin de l’année, les élèves et les enseignants célèbrent cette occasion et les récompenses sont attribuées aux réussissants.
مُدِيرُ الْمَدْرَسَةِ يُهَنِّئُ التَّلَامِيذَ بِجُهْدِهِمْ وَنَجَاحِهِمْ، وَيُذَكِرُهُمْ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَالْقِيَامِ بِالْوَاجِبَاتِ، ثُمَّ يُوَدِّعُهُمْ قَائِلًا: أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللَّهَ دِينَكُمْ وَأَمَانَتَكُمْ وَخَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِكُمْ.
The school principal congratulates the students on their efforts and success, reminds them to fear God and do their duties, then bids them farewell saying: I entrust God with your religion, your trust, and the final results of your work.
Le directeur de l’école félicite les élèves pour leurs efforts et leur réussite, leur rappelle de craindre Dieu et d’accomplir leurs devoirs, puis leur dit au revoir en disant : Je confie à Dieu votre religion, votre confiance et la conclusion de votre travail.
